Summary of Dual Role Position

Family Ministry Director: this role will provide leadership, coordination, and clear vision to all family ministries activities at the campus. This role administers, coordinates, and supports the recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling of family ministry Impact Team members.

Host Team Director: this role will administer, coordinate, and support the recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling of host team members. This role will also create, maintain, and improve the experience of Emmanuel guests and host Impact Team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Family Ministry Director Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage the onboarding process of Impact Team members to identify best fit in family ministries
  • Be the face of the ministry
  • Point families to resources for staying connected
  • Connect parents to activities and events
  • Schedule Impact Team members for all weekend environments (nursery-6th grade)
  • Equip and train family ministries Impact Team members under direction of the campus pastor
  • Study, serve as a resource for, and execute all weekly curriculum and activities
  • Assure classroom readiness of supplies & materials and Impact Team needs are met
  • Request repairs and replacements of classroom equipment/toys as necessary
  • Participate in environment improvement projects, planning and execution of events, church-wide initiatives as directed
  • Assist in planning and execution of student ministry events, and required attendance at retreats and camps
  • Ensure execution of family ministries campus constants as provided by centralized family ministries staff
  • Other ministry duties as assigned by the campus pastor

Summary of Host Team Director Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage Impact Team members assigned to host team for weekend experience
  • Recruit, train and onboard new Impact Team members
  • Schedule, follow up and confirm host team members using church scheduling software
  • Oversee Impact Team operations during weekend services (Sunday, 8:00am-1:00pm)
  • Monitor host Impact Team processes during the weekend service check-in with host team leaders/members for each service.
  • Stock and set up e-café space on a weekly basis
  • Ensure execution of host team campus constants as provided by centralized staff
  • Other related tasks as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or college degree
  • At least one year of paid experience in a management/ministry leadership position preferred
  • Previous paid or volunteer experience in family ministries required

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in conflict resolution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational/administrative skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to learn and use Emmanuel’s systems (Rock, Planning Center, etc.) and learn and adapt to new technology
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team in a flexible and cooperative manner, self-motivated
  • Demonstrate confidentiality and discretion when handling personal and ministry information
  • Demonstrate a servant heart with spiritual maturity and sensitivity

  • Agreement to abide by Emmanuel Church’s Expectations of a Staff Member which include:

o   Financial support of the church with your tithe

o   Attend one weekend service each week and monthly staff meetings

o   Participate in community through small group

o   Prioritize a Sabbath (one 24-hour period off work each week)
