Job Description

Full-Time (40 hours per week, some weekends required)

Reports to: Campus Pastor

Summary of Role

This is a dual-role position covering production and facilities management at the Martinsville Campus. 1) Oversee and guide all of production for weekend services in both adult and family ministries environments. 2) Maintaining an excellent facility by cleaning, maintaining, and improving the church property and overseeing our contractors. This position requires flexibility as our team assures that the church is prepared for all worship services and other ministry activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Facility Director

  • Manage the use of church buildings, assets, and grounds
  • Manage the cleaning and maintenance of church grounds and buildings
  • Develop and adhere to a budget for the church’s operational needs
  • Work with campus and centralized staff to ensure the guest experience on the church campus is welcoming
  • Work with contractors, subcontractors, and other vendors on buildings/grounds projects.
  • Serve as a liaison between outside agencies and centralized staff as needed
  • Work with outside groups utilizing church facilities to ensure proper care is given to church property, and manage any contracts or agreements with those groups
  • Manage Impact Team volunteers assisting with the security, maintenance, and cleaning of the church property
  • Other related tasks as assigned

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Production Director

  • Lead production volunteers by producing a consistent, excellent weekend service experience
  • Lead the recruiting, training, and development of production volunteers
  • Oversee audio, video and lighting during weekend experience as needed
  • Maintain and troubleshoot in-ear monitors
  • Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment
  • Maintain appearance of stage environment
  • Manage stage setup for band changes each week
  • Manage and support stage projects, equipment installations, set design and implementation
  • Provide support for church staff production needs (ministry events, weddings, etc.)
  • Perform other duties when requested or approved by the Campus Pastor

Qualifications and Requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or college degree
  • Previous experience with church production and/or facility maintenance preferred
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in conflict resolution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational/administrative skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to learn and use Emmanuel’s systems (Rock, Planning Center, etc.) and learn and adapt to new technology
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team in a flexible and cooperative manner, self-motivated
  • Demonstrate confidentiality and discretion when handling personal and ministry information
  • Demonstrate a servant heart with spiritual maturity and sensitivity

  • Prioritize a Sabbath (one 24-hour period of time off work each week)
