Part-time 15-20 hours per week
Reports to: Associate Media & Marketing Director
Summary of Role
The part-time Social Media Church Content Creator position will be responsible for producing engaging faith-based content across various platforms to inspire, inform, and connect viewers with the Emmanuel Church community. This role includes creating reels, taking high quality photos, B-Roll, and ensuring all content aligns with the Emmanuel Church’s mission and values. They will work in tandem with Media & Marketing Staff and the staff of other departments and/or campuses to help develop content, support ministry solutions, and accomplish the church’s mission. Work hours for this postion are 15-20 hours per week with flexible scheduling, including occasional evening or weekend events. Sundays are required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and design visually compelling graphics, videos, and other multimedia content for social media
- Write engaging captions, posts, and articles for online social media platforms
- Produce short-form and long-form video content, including sermon clips, promotional videos, and event recaps
- Plan, schedule, and post content on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
- Monitor social media engagement and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner
- Maintain consistent branding and messaging across all church materials
- Collaborate with ministry leaders to create content that supports church events, programs, and sermon series
- Capture high quality photos and videos during worship services, events, and other church activities
- Edit photos and videos for use in promotional materials
- Other related tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- Associate’s degree and 2+ years equivalent work or volunteer experience in cinematography preferred
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing apps like Capcut
- Experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content
Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team in a flexible and cooperative manner; self-motivated
- Proven skill with digital media
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices
- Proficient in graphic design, video editing, and content creation tools
- Demonstrate ability to track expenses and stay within budget
- Demonstrate the ability to appropriately respond to content evaluation in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in conflict resolution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once while maintaining quality
- Ability to learn and use Emmanuel’s systems (Rock, Planning Center, etc.) and learn and adapt to new technology
- Demonstrate confidentiality and discretion when handling personal and ministry information
- Demonstrate a servant heart with spiritual maturity and sensitivity
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexible and willing to adapt to changes in direction or priority quickly

- Agreement to abide by Emmanuel Church’s Expectations of a Staff Member which include:
o Financial support of the church with your tithe
o Attend one weekend service each week and monthly staff meetings
o Participate in community through small group
o Prioritize a Sabbath (one 24-hour period off work each week)
